Over the weekend, the Jenny from the Block singer sat down for an interview with Variety’s Senior Awards Editor Clayton Davis to discuss her latest film Unstoppable and her near 30-year legacy in Hollywood. But clearly this dude hasn’t been media trained, because he brought one of the things you’re NEVER supposed to while talking to a movie star: their age!
During the perplexing clip, which TMZ obtained on Monday, he says he “can’t believe” we’re approaching the 30-year anniversary of Selena — J.Lo’s 1997 breakout role. He brazenly adds:
“We’re going to be doing a retrospective of [the movie] and you will be 60 by then, which is getting up there.”
UMMM, WHAT?! What on god’s green Earth possessed him to say that?! Not to mention it’s not true! J.Lo is currently 55, meaning in another three years when the movie turns 30 she’ll only be 58. WHAT WAS THE REASON?!

The pop star was clearly taken off guard, responding:
“Wow. I am.”
And fans in the audience were equally as shocked, because in the footage one can be heard asking:
“Did he just say that?”
Seriously, like, what the hell??
J.Lo later added, “It’s funny when you say that I’m ‘getting up there,” which he interjected in to clarify it was a “joke” and that he’d “never talk to” her like that. But he did?? It’s not like these two are best pals??
But like a pro, the mom of two thanked fans for supporting her for all her years:
“What a journey this has been, and I honestly feel that the best is yet to come.”
SO CRAZY!
