iO Tillett Wright claims to have been “tricked” into talking about Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.
As we just told you, the artist delved deep into possible catalysts for the former couple’s tumultuous split in a new interview with The Times of London‘s Sunday Times — and in the piece, the Suspect host was quoted talking about his continued friendship with Heard and subsequent estrangement from the 53-year-old actor.
Shortly after the story went live, the 31-year-old took to Twitter to vehemently deny agreeing to talk on the subject altogether while blasting author Giles Hattersley for spinning the story.

iO penned:
So profoundly bummed on the media right now. Manipulations and Frankensteined information from shoddy tabloid sources in the first place. ├░┼╕ΓÇÖΓÇ¥

I am appalled. I NEVER sat down to discuss my friends or their marriage. I said that was off limits. I was tricked by @GilesHattersley

I agreed to discuss my book, and @GilesHattersley spun it to be me talking about them to benefit myself. Absolutely disgusting. 0 integrity

While we’re not sure why the NYC native would say anything at all in the interview if he didn’t expect it to be published, it’s clear the activist thought the comments on Heard and Depp were off the record.
No response to the accusations yet from Hattersley, but we’ll surely keep you updated if anything progresses.
Thoughts??? SOUND OFF in the comments!
