Mr. Mariah Carey is getting jobs! Yes, jobs as in more than one!
Guess being cooped up with his wife has started to take its toll!
Nick Cannon recently set up shop under his new company NCredible Entertainment with manager Michael Goldman by opening offices offices in Los Angeles and New York and they’ve wasted no time getting down to business!
Under NCredible, Nick & Co already have multiple TV, film, music and publishing projects in the pipeline.
Starting with television: at TeenNick, where he’s chairman, Cannon has partnered with Atlantic Records for a Josie and the Pussycats type reality show to find the next girl rock group.
If all goes well there’s already a possibility of a follow-up scripted series.
Next he’s got a special at MTV and last but definitely not least NCredible will have a puppet show for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Goldman says “It’s a hip-hop version of ‘Entourage’ with puppets.”
Inneresting.
NCredible also has plans to get into publishing and has inked a deal with Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing Division to produce a multimedia book series to coincide with the upcoming premiere of the Cannon-written and -directed Nickelodeon movie The School Gyrls.
The film features the company-signed three-girl singing group whose debut album will be released by Island Records.
Nick wrote the first book, a movie novelization, and plans to be involved in the writing of the 6 original novels under the pact with the possibility of a second movie and a possible TV series.
As if that wasn’t enough he’s also venturing into the radio circuit by hosting a 4 hour morning talk show starting January 19th at New York’s 92.3 Now because as Nick puts it he’s “always wanted to do radio.”
Well then why not! Just add it to the list!
And if you thought he would be leaving his hosting gig, you’d be wrong. Nick will still be hosting America’s Got Talent.
That wore us out just reading about it!
