It’s true! A new addition is making its way to join Madonna’s herd of youngsters.
It was announced this morning that Madonna won her adoption appeal in Malawi and can now begin preparations to bring home 3 year-old Mercy James. Madge’s attorney told the press that his client had been “awake all night long” waiting to hear the verdict and when the moment finally arrived, Madge was “ecstatic.”
It will take anywhere from 3-5 days to go through the necessary paperwork and schedule the private jet, but now that it is a done deal, all Madge has to do is sit back and wait for them to bring home her new little one.
Congrats to the lucky mom and the lucky, lucky kid!
UPDATE: Madonna has just released a statement via her rep. Her Madgesty says, “I am extremely grateful for the Supreme Court’s ruling on my application to adopt Mercy James. I am ecstatic … My family and I look forward to sharing our lives with her.”
