Ivan Reitman Talks Ghostbusters III, Baywatch Movie, And Private Parts Sequel

In a recent interview, director-producer Ivan Reitman sat down to discuss the future projects of his Montecito Pictures Co. with his producing partner Tom Pollock.
Before we get your hopes up like the headline of the interview got OURS up, we’re just gonna tell you right now, Bill Murray STILL hasn’t read the Ghostbusters III script.
There. Stop reading now if you want, BUT there is some inneresting news about a possible Baywatch movie on the horizon.
When asked what he will direct next, Reitman said:

“There├óΓé¼Γäós a lot of talk about Ghostbusters III. And there├óΓé¼Γäós a very good script that the other cast members have read and liked. We├óΓé¼Γäóre just waiting for Bill Murray to read it.”

That’s it? All he’s got to do is read it? What are you waiting for Bill? Please! Just read it!
Reitman opened up about a rumored Baywatch movie and said:

“We still don├óΓé¼Γäót have a script that├óΓé¼Γäós makeable. I think it├óΓé¼Γäós a big opportunity. This is a comedy, and I think we have a very interesting take ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ a classical idea that will be fresh for the world audience. It├óΓé¼Γäós one of the best-known titles that├óΓé¼Γäós out there.”

A Baywatch comedy? As long as there is an ample cameo available for the Hoff, we’ll be there opening night.
In more sequel news, they talked about a Howard Stern‘s Private Parts sequel. Apparently, the shock jock would LOVE to do it, but sadly, Reitman doesn’t seem to think it will happen, as he explains:

“I spoke to Howard. He brings it up all the time. There is a great sequel story in it. But I doubt it will happen. If he├óΓé¼Γäós going to do another film, my guess is that it├óΓé¼Γäós probably not going to be the sequel to Private Parts.”

Bummer.
Sounds like even though they hit some snags along the way, a new Ghostbusters IS on the horizon and possibly a new take on Baywatch.
Are U excited about any of these films?
