Ivana Trump Sues Finnish Fashion Company

Ivana Trump is suing mad after she claims a Finnish company is using her name illegaly.
According to the former Mrs. Trump, Finnish fashion company IVANAhelsinki is selling items with her trademarked “Ivana” name.
Turns out Trump registered her first name back in 2002 for items relating to jewelry, glasses, and accessories. She’s also sold clothing and other items with her name on it since the ‘90s.
So in her lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court, Ivana claims the company is selling women’s clothing which uses her name without permission. Says one of Trump’s reps:

“If someone is by the runway and sees the name IVANAhelsinki with IVANA in capital letters, it is reasonably inferable that Ivana Trump endorses this line or is affiliated with the company.├óΓé¼┬¥

Hah! Cause the first person everyone thinks of when they see Ivana is Ivana Trump?
Though she’s probably none too thrilled that IVANAhelsinki products are being introduced this week during New York Fashion Week.
We’ll have to wait and see what the courts decide.
