Ivanka Trump is getting a taste of people’s disdain for her father during her first international trip as part of the White House administration.
Donald Trump‘s daughter was invited to participate in the W20 Summit by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, where she was among the likes of Merkel, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, and five other powerful women leaders for a panel on women’s entrepreneurship on Tuesday.
It didn’t take long before the First Daughter was grilled with questions about her controversial dad’s stance on women’s issues, which led to a very vocal response from the crowd in Berlin.

WirtschaftsWoche editor-in-chief Miriam Meckel asked the businesswoman:
“You’re the first daughter of the United States, and you’re also an assistant to the president. The German audience is not that familiar with the concept of a first daughter. I’d like to ask you, what is your role, and who are you representing, your father as president of the United States, the American people, or your business?”
To which Ivanks responded:
“Certainly not the latter. I’m rather unfamiliar with this role as well ├óΓé¼┬ª It has been a little under 100 days and it has just been a remarkable and incredible journey.”
Later, Jared Kushner‘s wife was met with loud groans from the audience when she said her father was a “tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thrive” while applauding Drumpf for supposedly supporting paid leave.
The moderator jumped in to point out the reaction, and to ask if the president was an “empowerer of women” despite his gross comments and actions in the past.
The mother-of-three responded:
“I know from personal experience, and I think the thousands of women who have worked with and for my father for decades when he was in the private sector are a testament to his belief and solid conviction in the potential of women and their ability to do the job as well as any man.”
