We’re talking about the Aretha Franklin biopic that’s in the works, of course!
It’s fab news that Jennifer Hudson really wants the role, and she’s a perfect fit!
This is what that beauty of singer had to say when asked about it:
“I’ve been hearing a lot [of talk] about this lately. We met a couple of years ago actually, about I don’t know what, but if I get that opportunity I would love to do it.”
Not only that, but Hudson will be performing an Aretha song as a tribute at this year’s Grammys.
Here’s what she had to say about that:
“Aretha called me out of the blue last Friday and we were chatting on the phone and I told her. She was trying to get an idea of what was going on; she knows what├óΓé¼Γäós going on at the Grammys. [She] has had such an influence on the music industry and me personally and everybody├óΓé¼┬ª and so we├óΓé¼Γäóre just celebrating that├óΓé¼┬ª and I├óΓé¼Γäóm just honored to be able to sing one of her songs.├óΓé¼┬¥
Well, bb, we know you’ll do it such beautiful justice. Good luck at the Grammys! And we hope they offer you the role right after it!
