Jack Antonoff‘s family seemingly has been left in the dark about his breakup with Margaret Qualley!
As we’ve been following, the couple broke up after nearly three years of marriage. The news came as a shock to some, unless you’d been following the rumors in the days after Jack showed up to longtime friend and collaborator Taylor Swift‘s wedding to Travis Kelce without Margaret. However, his own family apparently hadn’t been keeping up! In fact, it seems he hadn’t told them that they had separated!

According to DailyMail.com on Wednesday, they asked Jack’s mother, Shira Antonoff, about the rumored marital strife hours before the public found out about the split, and she had no clue about anything! The mom said:
“I don’t know anything about this, sorry. I’m so sorry, I really don’t have anything to say.”
Jack must’ve had a really awkward phone call with Shira after she hung up with the Daily Mail…
Or, there’s always the strong possibility it wasn’t that she didn’t know anything but rather that she was trying to politely get out of answering the nosey questions about her son’s love life! The phrasing, though, does sound like she was caught off guard by the news.
To catch her up, sources claimed Jack and Margaret’s relationship turned “rocky” because they struggled with communication. The actress reportedly felt he “has a tendency to prioritize his music career over their relationship,” which has created a “disconnect” and “significant tension” between them. While one source says they’re “figuring things out,” another claims Jack “hasn’t shown much interest in repairing what’s been broken.” That said, he’s still wearing his wedding ring. She, on the other hand, is making it clear they’re dunzo by removing all traces of the Bleachers frontman from her Instagram.
