Jake Gyllenhaal thinks his future is in directing.
But that face shouldn’t be kept behind the camera!
The Source Code star – who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance of a sexually repressed cowboy in 2005 – does not want to quit acting just yet but is prepared to consider going behind the camera in the future.
He says:
“Well, I do have a number of things that I’m developing. That’s probably where the future lies for me – but I’m not going to give up the day job just yet. I’d like to see where it goes.”
Why would Jake do this to us? It appears Jake his a little nervous about his staying power as an actor.
“You’re always wondering how long this will last. It’s a piece of being an actor. There’s always someone more talented or younger than you. But I also like to write. In years to come, I think that will expand. I won’t just be scrapping for the next job. Maybe I’ll create something for myself.”
We can tell Jake is multi-talented, we own Brokeback Mountain.
