According to DailyMail.com on Wednesday, heterosexual British vlogger Carmie Sellitto said Charles made him question his sexuality after James allegedly sent over flirty messages.
The 20-year-old — who is dating fellow YouTube star Kate Elisabeth, 19 — said he met Charles in July 2018 at a VidCon after-party.
Sellitto told the publication:

“I was at VidCon in the LA area last summer and I went to an after party attended by some huge YouTube stars. I noticed James Charles staring at me from across the room at the party. After a while I went up to him and introduced myself. We started talking, I thought we had a connection. Our conversation lasted for about 30 minutes. Before we left each other he got all of my social media contacts. He hugged me goodbye and told me he was going to be in touch.”

Allegedly, Charles began communicating with Sellitto via social media, and eventually asked him if he was gay.

“A few days later he started contacting me via social media. He was flirty but didn’t say anything inappropriate. He kept telling me how I was the hottest guy he ever laid his eyes on. A few days after we met I had to fly back to London. We stayed in contact for the next week or so, then I told him I didn’t want to lead him on. I told him I wasn’t gay. But James made me question myself. He asked me, ‘Are you sure you aren’t gay or bi? Are you sure?’ I finally had to tell him again that I didn’t want to lead him on. I guess the bottom line is I wasn’t as interested in him as he was in me.'”

After Sellitto told him the truth about his sexuality, Charles allegedly cut ties.

“After this conversation, James blocked me on Instagram and blocked my number. He still follows me on Twitter. I guess he’s forgotten about that. He hasn’t contacted me since.”

In a YouTube clip posted on Tuesday, Sellitto confirmed he met Charles, who allegedly texted him, “You’re extremely good looking.”

In her video, Westbrook denounced Charles after he shared an endorsement at Coachella for Sleep Vitamins by SugarBearHair, a direct competitor of her beauty brand, Halo Beauty.
Though Charles later apologized to her on Instagram Story, Westbrook claimed the teen did not personally reach out to her “face-to-face.”
While discussing his alleged pursuit of straight men, Westbrook exclaimed:

“It’s really disgusting to manipulate someone’s sexuality, especially when they are still emerging into adulthood, and don’t quite have everything figured out… You are using your fame, your power, your money to play with peoples emotions. You’re threatening to ruin them, you’re threatening to embarrass them and you’re doing that to have them behave sexually in your favor, even if they’re straight. And you know what? That’s not okay. That behavior is not okay.”

She added:

“Whether you’re a woman, a man, gay, straight, bi, whatever sexual orientation you are, that is your personal call and it is not for someone else to take… It is not for someone else to play with. It is not for someone else to mess with. And how dare you laugh about it and make meme, after meme, and retweet, and this, and that, and ‘I love straight boys’ and make it a joke. Because this behavior is not normal. It’s not okay. Cracking someone’s sexuality is not an escape room. This is s**t that will follow them for the rest of their lives. You need someone to tell you to stop it.'”

After Westbrook’s video went viral, Charles reportedly lost around 3 million YouTube subscribers.
