Ugh this just too devastating!
As we’ve previously reported, 12 are dead and 38 or so injured after a man dressed in riot gear entered a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises at the Aurora, Colorado Century 16 Movie Theaters, released a smoke a bomb, and opened fire on the audience.
Police arrested the man, now being identified as James Holmes, in the rear parking lot.
Police spokesperson Frank Fania states:
“He did not resist. He did not put up a fight.”
Authorities found a rifle and hundgun on the suspect, and another gun was found in the theater.
Homes apparently mentioned that other explosives and items could be found in his apartment, which has since been searched.
Police allegedly found ammunition and some type of chemical in Holmes’ residence.
AND supposedly, a woman claiming she is Holme’s mother called in to ABC news this morning from San Diego and stated:
“You have the right person… I need to call the police. I need to fly out to Colorado.”
How unimaginably f*cked up and horrifying!
Officials do not believe the Holmes is connected to any terrorist organization and it’s likely he acted alone.
