Family matters!
Jamie Lynn Spears is hoping her daughters — Maddie Briann, 9, and newborn Ivey Joan — will have a similar relationship to her and big sis Britney Spears, as they are also about 10 years apart!
And it sounds like while they were close as sisters, the 27-year-old always felt like she had a “second mom” in Brit.

The singer explained in a new interview with People:
“Me and my sister are 10 years apart, and Maddie and Ivey are 10 years apart, so I’m hoping they have the same kind of relationship where it was like a second mom, almost. It’s gonna be a special relationship. Sisters are something special ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ especially when there’s that age gap there.”
What a precious time!
Jamie Lynn also said that Maddie has been tackling her duties as an older sibling head on:
“She’s picking it up a lot easier: It’s not like I’m dealing with a 5-year-old; I’m dealing with an almost-10-year-old who really wants to nurture and love her little sister and really grasp that. It’s definitely a big help, having one who’s a little older. I can say, ├óΓé¼╦£Let me grab the clothes out of the dryer.’ And she can sit there with her for a second.”
Congrats to the family of four!
