Quite the timely upload, Jamie Lynn Spears!
While the dust had just begun to settle on Justin Timberlake‘s recent hand-holding controversy with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainright, Britney Spears‘ younger sister (unintentionally?) just put JT back on the forefront of our minds again with an epic throwback photo in honor of #FlashbackFriday.

On December 27, the Zoey 101 alum took to Instagram and shared a picture taken over a decade ago at a launch party in New York City for the pop singer’s self-titled album, Britney.

OMG. Where do we even begin?!
There’s Natalie Portman casually hanging out on the far left, a then-coupled up Timberlake and Spears on the far right, and a prepubescent Jamie Lynn in the center of it all! Anyone else instantly jealous of her star-studded childhood circle, or, just us? LOLz.
The 28-year-old captioned the snap:
“Nothing like childhood memories….#FBF #YoungJL”
If our math is correct, she was most likely around 10 years old in the adorable shot!
So, where’s the shade?
Well, the thing is, Jamie tagged everyone in the photo …except Justin! She even tagged an account called @noughtiez, which seemed to post the image first. But alas, there was no tag or mention in regards to her sister’s ex.
That’s shady, right? C’mon, guys. We live in an era where subtle moves like this almost always point to a deeper meaning behind them. At least, it’s amusing to think so, right?
It wouldn’t be completely out of the realm of possibility, either. As everyone on this planet likely remembers, Brit and the NSYNC bandmember famously dated from 1998-2002, and Jessica Biel‘s husband ruthlessly put the former power couple’s dirty laundry on blast when he penned Cry Me A River after their split. Context matters, y’all!

There’s also a possibility we’re blowing this completely out of proportion and maybe JL didn’t want to draw any attention to the embattled 38-year-old by tagging him to begin with. But also, as we mentioned earlier, not mentioning him says a lot in itself!!
