Janet Jackson was performing in Houston on Saturday night as part of her newly-resumed world tour when, during her high-energy, upbeat show, she paused during songs and emotionally broke down, even going so far as to cry for a few seconds before continuing the show.

The 51-year-old pop star had been performing her song What About, when she stopped and began to sob — and the entire moment was caught on video by a fan at the concert (below):

For what it’s worth and for those who don’t know Janet’s material, What About is about domestic violence, with lyrics like this (below):
“What about all the shit you’ve done to me? / What about the times you hit my face? / What about the times you kept on when I said no more, please?”
So sad.

In her personal life, Jackson is currently in the process of divorcing Wissam Al Mana, her husband of five years and the father to Janet’s first child, son Eissa.
