Janet Jackson's Billionaire Husband Fires Employee After She Is Raped In Dubai

Just horrible.

Janet Jackson├óΓé¼Γäós husband Wissam Al Mana — managing director of Al Mana Interiors — has fired a female employee by the name of Marte Deborah Dalelv for ├óΓé¼┼ômisconduct and breach of your employment duties, effective immediately.├óΓé¼┬¥

While this would seem like a fairly straightforward reason for termination, it’s much more complicated than that! Marte had been working on behalf of Al Mana Interiors in Dubai, when she reported to authorities that she had been raped by a co-worker last March.

The case has brought on an onslaught of troubles for Marte, including prison time due to Dubai’s Sharia law, but it seems her unemployment is now the latest addition to her woes.

While we find it appalling that Al Mana would fire an employee after such a violation was committed against her, the company has released the following statement:

├óΓé¼┬¥We are sympathetic to Marte Dalelv during this very difficult situation. Al Mana Interiors has repeatedly offered Marte support and company representatives were by her side throughout the initial investigation and police interviews, and spent days at both the police station and the prosecutor’s office to help win her release.”

The statement continued:

“Company representatives have been supportive and in communication with Marte throughout her ordeal. Only when Ms. Dalelv declined to have positive and constructive discussions about her employment status, and ceased communication with her employer, was the company forced to end our relationship with her… The decision had nothing to do with the rape allegation, and unfortunately neither Ms. Dalelv nor her attorneys have chosen to contact the company to discuss her employment status.”

We can’t even begin to imagine the nightmare Marte must be experiencing right now.

We hope her legal matters are resolved soon.
