Katie McLaughlin is angry. And she has more right to be than most.
After discovering her husband, former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle, was under investigation for child porn and sex with minors, she’s had a very difficult time putting her life back together.
And she says people’s negative comments toward her don’t help.

McLaughlin is suing Subway for keeping the scandal under wraps, but apparently people constantly accuse the mother-of-two of having knowledge of the pedophilia herself.
In a candid interview with CBS This Morning on Friday, she said:
“How could anyone think that I would stay married to a man and have children with a man who was doing this? Of course I wouldn’t be there. Of course I wouldn’t stay with him. I did not know.”
Katie maintains she had no idea about the crimes, saying Jared kept his other life completely secret from her. She filed divorce papers in August of 2015, just one month after the FBI raided the couple’s home.
When McLaughlin was asked what she felt Jared took from her, her answer was devastating. She explained:
“I mean, my ability to trust. I mean, my ability to ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ to think that things will be okay. I think I was always a pretty happy person who thought if everyone puts in their hard work, things will end up okay. And now I’m not so sure about that now.”
