More is coming out about Jared Leto‘s alleged past inappropriate and creepy behavior.
Following a wave of new sexual misconduct allegations against the singer, Gracelisa Akers came forward to share her troubling encounter with him years ago when she was only 25. She told Page Six on Saturday that she was a bartender at The Orbit Room in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in April 2011 when Jared’s band 30 Seconds to Mars performed. The Kill artist allegedly spotted her, sent someone over to tell her he wanted to meet her, and invited her to a party in his dressing room. Gracelisa agreed, but she didn’t know at the time that her night with Jared would soon take a scary turn:
“I can tell immediately, just from being around the industry, when men are trying to use their status symbol as a power play.”
When Jared greeted her, he gave her an elbow bump, claiming to be a germaphobe who doesn’t shake hands with others. However, Gracelisa soon found out how untrue that may be. She alleged they exchanged numbers, and he invited her to his dressing room with other band members and bar staff. And that’s when the red flags allegedly began. Gracelisa claimed he started to get very “handsy” with her despite being a supposed germaphobe — and even though she wasn’t into it:
“When I got up there, he immediately beelined for me. I could tell that he was looking for a hook up, but that’s not what I was offering. He offered me a drink and I said no. That was the first red flag – he seemed to be irritated, but I said ‘I have to drive home.’ And he was certainly not a germaphobe, he was grabbing at me, playing with my hair, his hands were around my waist and on my hips and he was trying to hold my hand. But it was very one sided, I thought ‘hey buddy, I’m not into you.’ I thought ‘take no for an answer dude, you’re not getting laid tonight.'”
When his group wanted to go to Denny’s, Gracelisa decided to leave. Instead of letting her go, though, Jared allegedly followed her to her car and trapped her so she “couldn’t move”:
“His hands were all over me, and he got more irritated. He was trying to pull me towards him and he was so close I could smell his breath. I made it clear that I was not into this and I said goodbye and grabbed my stuff. He followed me out and cornered me as I’m trying to get into my car. He said ‘you’re never going to see me again, let’s just f**k Denny’s and go eat on the tour bus.’ He told me, ‘We don’t need to do anything’ and had me positioned in a way that I couldn’t move.”
While Gracelisa insisted Jared was not violent toward her, he made her feel “uncomfortable” in that moment, especially given that he is 5 feet 9 inches in comparison to her 5 feet:
“I said ‘no I am leaving, I feel uncomfortable,’ I got in my car and went home.”
But the Suicide Squad actor allegedly didn’t leave her alone. At around 3:00 or 4:00 am, Gracelisa claimed she was “bombarded with all these texts, more and more texts, asking me to come back.” She added:
“I even woke up to a text from him about going to breakfast the next morning.”
Whoa…
Gracelisa allegedly didn’t hear from Jared again until two months later. She recalled:
“I got another text – it was a selfie in the mirror, he had a towel over his waist, as if he had just showered, and it was just covering his junk. The caption was just a room number, NYC, the name of a hotel and the message ‘hurry up, I’m waiting’. I replied, I’m in Grand Rapids, Michigan, you sent this to the wrong Grace.'”
She’s really lucky nothing more happened if all this is true. OMG. Gracelisa continued:
“I hope whoever she is, she did not show up, but he was really persistent, it’s just an ick. I know he didn’t physically hurt me, but I think the unwillingness to take no for an answer shows a pattern of aggressive behavior and entitlement when he didn’t get his way.”
To note, Gracelisa deleted the texts and photos of Jared. But she still has his number, which Page Six verified belongs to the musician.
