Following the tragic Las Vegas shooting months ago, Jason Aldean has discovered he can find healing all thanks to his newborn son, Memphis!
In case you missed it, in December, the country star’s wife Brittany Kerr gave birth to their first child together, a beautiful addition joining his two daughters Kendyl and Keeley from a previous marriage.

Now, the Dirt Road Anthem singer is telling SiriusXM‘s The Highway just how his youngest helped him recover from the horrible tragedies he witnessed during the Route 91 Festival he was headlining. The poppa shared:
“One of the things that helped me, personally, was the birth of my son. That gave me a chance to focus on something else. Within a couple months, I saw the worst thing you could possibly experience, and then I saw the best thing you could possibly experience, with him being born.”
Jason continued, explaining:
“It gave me something else to focus on and gave me a reason to look forward to the new year and getting the chance to get back out there and do what it is that I love to do.”
The star will be hitting the road again, starting his High Noon Neon tour on May 10. And it definitely sound like he’s ready:
“It definitely took me a little time to wrap my head around it, and I needed some downtime to step away from it a little bit and get home.”
As he says, he hopes to honor the victims by continuing to get back out there:
“I also know that out of all the shows that I’ve ever played, this happened this one time. It’s not the norm. Just getting back out and doing what it is that we do that to me is the only way to honor anybody.”
The victims will never be forgotten, and we can only hope the survivors can continue to find healing.
