NBA's Jason Collins' Ex-Fiancee Had NO CLUE He Was Gay!

Carolyn Moos was once engaged to NBA star Jason Collins — and even she only found out that he was gay just LAST WEEKEND!
She had no idea during their relationship at all!
Carolyn played a few seasons in the WNBA, and dated Jason for seven years! They were even engaged until they broke up in 2009 because Jason canceled their wedding! She never once thought he was gay!
When he talked to her last weekend, he wanted to let her know that his sexuality was the reason for ending their relationship — which he should have told her much earlier, because she has spent YEARS not understanding what went wrong! Plus that was almost a decade of being together!
Here’s what she said:

“It’s very emotional for me as a woman to have invested 8 years in my dream to have a husband, soul mate, and best friend in him. So this is all hard to understand. I care about [Jason] tremendously and only want the best for him. I want Jason to be happy for a lifetime and stay true to who he really is, inside and out.”

It is SO beautiful that all she wants is his happiness even after what we’re sure is a hard pill to swallow! We can only hope that she doesn’t feel like those 8 years were a complete waste, and that she focuses on how happy the time was!
