Our hearts are just breaking for Jax Taylor.
On Thursday, the Vanderpump Rules star tragically announced on social media that father Ronald Cauchi lost his esophageal cancer battle this week. The reality star’s father was 61 at the time of his passing.

Amid his grief, the Bravolebrity wrote a touching note to his late dad on Instagram. Taylor posted:
What a terribly sad time for Jax. Mr. Cauchi was diagnosed with stage IV cancer around October. Despite ultimately losing his life to the disease, Ronald put up a brave fight as he underwent two treatments to fight off the cancer.
As Jax has described Ronald as his “idol,” we can only imagine the devastation he is dealing with. Not to mention, the Cauchis just celebrated a happy milestone in November, as Jax’s sister Jenny Cauchi got engaged.
Thankfully, the reality TV star has quite the support system in his castmates. Girlfriend Brittany Cartwright led the charge in paying tribute to Jax and his family online.
