Jay Z has played a big part in rebranding the Brooklyn Nets and amping up their popularity, but it’s time for him to cash out.
Since he started his Roc Nation sports agency, the NBA has seen his owning 0.067 percent of the team as a conflict of interest.
And his newest buyer happens to also be the current coach of the team, Jason Kidd!
Definitely no conflict of interest there since an owner and a coach want the same thing: a championship!
This small piece of the team is expected to sell for roughly $500,000
A source said:
“Other owners want to give Jason a part ownership of the team, and urged Jay to sell his shares to him.”
It seems like everyone is happy with this choice, and that’s what matters!
