Jay-Z Scores BIG With The Great Gatsby

Jay-Z is about to add another accomplishment to his ever-expanding list of accomplishments!
The rapper will score Baz Luhrmann’s retelling of the classic novel, The Great Gatsby.
We’d been wondering ever since we heard Jay’s voice on the film’s trailer, but it has now been confirmed by collaborator Jeymes Samuel of The Bullitts
Jeymes tweeted:

Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming #CLASSIC The Great Gatsby! It is too DOPE for words!

And we’d expect no less than “dope” from Jay!
If you’ve seen Baz’s other hits like Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge then you know his ability to mesh period stories with modern soundtracks, so Jay’s music should fit right in!!!
We’re counting down the days until May 10 when The Great Gatsby finally hits theaters!!
