Former NBA star Jayson Williams has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault for accidentally killing limousine driver Costas Christofi, finally putting the case to an end after eight years!
Back in 2004, witnesses testified that Jayson was showing off a shotgun in his bedroom and the gun fired after he had snapped it shut.
Williams was charged with reckless manslaughter, but ended up pleading guilty to the lesser charge. The guilty plea to aggravated assault guarantees at least 18-months in prison due to a gun being involved.
Jayson is in even more trouble as well after last week’s arrest and being charged with drunk driving after crashing his vehicle into a tree in New York!
Seems like a bit of jail time would serve him well!
