The Bluths have George Sr.’s back! Well, some of them do.
A week after Jeffrey Tambor was officially fired from Transparent over multiple accusations of sexual harassment, members of his Arrested Development family are voicing support for him.

In an interview with AM New York this week, David Cross said that he and some other cast members of the cult comedy still believe in Tambor, revealing:
“I can’t speak for everybody, but I know there are a number of us who stand behind him ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ from the limited amount we know, we stand behind Jeffrey ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and I am one of them.”
As we reported, the 73-year-old actor was livid about being fired from the groundbreaking Amazon series after the streamer launched an investigation into sexual harassment claims made against the actor by guest star Trace Lysette and a former assistant.
Tambor said he was “profoundly disappointed” by the way Amazon and series creator Jill Soloway handled investigating the “false accusations.”
Cross seemed to agree in his Monday interview, continuing:
“I think it’s very curious that Amazon didn’t make public the results of their internal investigation. I’m not sure why they would do that. I just know the whole thing is rather curious to me.”
Aside from Cross, the only other member of the all-star Arrested Development cast — which includes Michael Cera, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, and Alia Shawkat — to speak out on the drama has been series star Jason Bateman, who tactfully told The Hollywood Reporter this week:
“I love Jeffrey. I always will. I can’t go further than that, but I will always love that man.”
Netflix has yet to reveal whether the controversy will affect the upcoming fifth season. No official release date has been announced, but Cross confirmed shooting has wrapped and expects a springtime release.
As for whether the accusation will impact Tambor’s role, Cross said:
“I certainly hope not. I doubt it, but I don’t know. I’m not in those offices or making those decisions.”
We doubt Netflix will All The Money In The World Tambor out of season 5, but stranger things have happened in this climate.
