Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo, apparently, did not see eye to eye on pretty much EVERYTHING before their divorce filing! Oof.
We’ve already heard from various sources that the musician’s newfound Christian faith drove a wedge in the romance. They also supposedly couldn’t get on the same page on when to try for kids. There was a lot weighing on the relationship, evidently, and now we’re unpacking even more layers to the drama!

It’s no secret that the Save Me artist was wrapped up in some icky legal trouble in recent years after allegedly threatening a comedian! And now, sources claim this led to a ton of disagreements between the couple in the months leading up to the split.
An insider for The US Sun revealed on Wednesday that the pair argued a lot about how to handle Nicole Arbour‘s allegations against the crooner.
As you’ll recall, Nicole accused Jelly of threatening to “kill” her at a charity event in 2021 after she shut down previous advances from his friend, Ryan Upchurch. She’s been going after the songwriter ever since on socials in what she calls “The Jelly Files” in an attempt to get him cancelled. She’s even claimed the Grammy winner’s team once sent her a “hush money” deal and threatened to sue her if she didn’t sign it. She rejected the agreement, though, and continued to blast Jelly and Bunnie, who supposedly refused to apologize. While she took her issues up with the Metro Nashville Police Department earlier this year, no formal investigation was set in motion. Very dramatic stuff!
Now, the insider close to the estranged couple claims that the father of two actually wanted to publicly apologize to the controversial jokester — but it was Bunnie who shut that down! The confidant dished:
“He wanted to apologize and settle with Nicole and make it right, and Bunnie wouldn’t, which ballooned into this huge sticking point in their relationship.”
The source also said Jelly’s faith was a big reason he wanted to speak up. Their differing opinions lead to massive arguments… and ultimately, the end of the romance!
Interestingly, Nicole previously told The US Sun that over the last year or so, her lawyer actually negotiated for a settlement agreement, which included an apology, but it fell through when the famous pair refused to release an apology.
As shocked as we were to hear about this divorce, the more we learn, the more it sounds like they’ve really been going through a lot of stress that would no doubt screw up a marriage!
