Jen Hamilton is poking fun at her terrible breakup with a very familiar face!
This month, the influencer claimed the reason she is divorcing her longtime husband, Brian Hamilton, is because he had a “double life” and was cheating on her with a 56-year-old woman. All while she was working hard as a nurse and social media personality to provide for their family. Ugh. A betrayal like that would make anyone swear off relationships for good! Someone else is all for it too! However, they also have another idea: a lavender marriage! And that person with the proposal is Chris Olsen, who went through a heartbreak somewhat similar to Jen’s recently!

For context, Chris had been dating London-based musician and real estate analyst Harrison Dockerty for the past 8 months. If you’re chronically online like us, you likely know him by his code name “Superman.” But on July 16, the 28-year-old content creator revealed that while he was at an Olivia Dean concert in Los Angeles, he had found out that Harrison “diabolically cheated on” him. That same day, Harrison confirmed to People that they broke up — but would not own up to the alleged cheating:
“Out of respect for Chris and the relationship we shared, I’d prefer to keep matters private. I don’t think it’s healthy or productive for personal relationship issues to be discussed publicly, and I hope we can both move forward with kindness and respect.”
Chris isn’t staying quiet about what happened, though! He later revealed he and Harrison had been in a “closed relationship” from October 7 to May 25, but his boyfriend “broke up with me after admitting to cheating.” During the Olivia Dean concert, he “found out that there was a lot more that I didn’t know.” How awful! Chris hasn’t gotten into specific details about the alleged cheating. However, he sadly can relate to what Jen is currently going through, which is why he is now proposing a lavender marriage between them! A lavender marriage, for those who don’t know, is a marriage of convenience between a man and a woman where one or both partners are part of the LGBTQ+ community, typically used to hide their sexual orientations and avoid social stigmas.
He posted a video to social media on Tuesday getting down on one knee for the nurse with a rose-shaped toy with the words over top:
“Due to our horrifyingly (slightly) similar situations, I’m officially proposing a lavender marriage to Jen Hamilton.”
The Tiktoker added in the caption:
“SLIGHTLY bc I was not married and she is way stronger than I. @Jen Hamilton feel free to say no im down to just swear off relationships entirely too”
Good news! Jen is all for it! She duetted the video to accept the proposal, grabbing a matching toy and holding up half a heart. She wrote over the clip, “Love wins.” Yessss!! Watch the video (below):

Chris has since reacted to her acceptance! He wrote in the comments section:

We know Jen wants to keep her estranged husband’s last name, but Jen Olsen has a nice ring to it! LOLz! But in all seriousness, we’re glad these two found each other and can come together to joke about their horrible situations! Hopefully, this is the start of a beautiful friendship… or maybe a lavender marriage if that’s what they actually want!
