Oh you trixy Daddums!
Earlier we reported how Jennifer Aniston’s father, John Aniston, was quite blindsided by the news of Jen’s weekend engagement to Justin Theroux, and that he apparently had NO idea Justin was planning to pop the question!
But NAY! It seems John was playing the fool when asked about his daughter’s engagement, only because he didn’t want to let any private information slip to the press!
John’s rep explains:
“[John Aniston] thought he was being trapped on the phone so played dumb to be safe.”
Better to be safe than embarrass your daughter or her soon-to-be husband, that’s for sure! And John handled it like such a paternal pro.
Ah it’s SO nice to be able to chat about loverly Hollywood love when other celeb relationships seem to be crumbling like semi-soft cheese…
