Truly a nightmare…
As we reported in mid-November, Jennifer Hudson split and obtained a protective order against fiancé David Otunga, who is the father of their 8-year-old son David Daniel Otunga Jr. Later that month, The Voice judge voluntarily dropped the restraining order, and the two have struck a temporary custody agreement.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, the singer and the I Love New York alum allegedly had a violent encounter which led to their legal drama.

In the early hours of November 16, the ex-couple first began fighting over where their son would sleep that night. Earlier that evening, Otunga was reportedly upset because his son was spending time at a recording studio with a producer he believed was Jennifer’s new boyfriend. Apparently, he said, “Don’t have my son around your fucking boyfriend,” and threatened to “fuck him up” at the studio.
The report is possibly referencing producer Mali Music, though it’s not confirmed and Hudson denies any affair.
After David picked up their son and took him to the bathroom, Jennifer followed. That’s when Otunga allegedly pushed her with both of his hands to get her out. Although she claims she stumbled backward and called for her security guard, the guard says he never heard her call.
The police report also references an alleged incident in April 2017 where Hudson found Otunga in the kitchen, sitting next to a gun. It turned out to be a toy gun, and it was removed from the house.
Despite these allegations, Otunga denies ever getting physical with the musician.
