We can’t even imagine how strong she must be to have to live with not only the tragedy of losing so many so close to her, but also knowing that a split decision saved her from a similar fate.
Jennifer Hudson recently opened up about the horiffic 2008 murder of her mother, brother, and nephew, and revealed that if she hadn’t decided last minute to fly to Florida with her fiance, David Otunga, for his wrestling career, she would have been home with them, and possibly deceased, too.
She explains:
├óΓé¼┼ôThat├óΓé¼Γäós one of the things that saved my life, because I could have been home with my mom then. He wanted me to come out to Florida instead of going to Chicago. I flew out to see him; that├óΓé¼Γäós why I├óΓé¼Γäóm still here. I├óΓé¼Γäóve never said that before, and I can├óΓé¼Γäót believe I just said that now. But I didn├óΓé¼Γäót know. He was just like, ├óΓé¼╦£I├óΓé¼Γäóm going to this wrestling thing, and it├óΓé¼Γäós in Tampa. I├óΓé¼Γäóm going out there now, so you can come out there and see me versus going home.├óΓé¼Γäó After that happened, I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£I don├óΓé¼Γäót know what I want.’ A lot of things have happened in my life. There are a lot of things that I need to get adjusted to before I do anything else. That├óΓé¼Γäós how I feel about it.├óΓé¼┬¥
Unbelievable. And just so, so awful.
Obviously, this is something she’ll have to live with for the rest of her life, and the pain that comes from that kind of loss never goes away, so our thoughts and prayers still go out to her while she continues to come to terms with everything!
We admire your courage, gurl, and we know that they’d be so proud of everything you’ve continued to accomplish, and your perseverance throughout it all!
