She’d be crazy not to, but then again, money makes people do crazy things.
Unlike her fellow judges, when Jennifer Lopez signed on to American Idol this season, her rumored $12 million contract was only good for one season. With this season done, she now has to start considering if she will return for another.
Thing is, when she was asked about it after the finale, she gave the very diplomatic answer of “it’s too early to tell.” Translation: we’ll see how much more money they’ll pay me.
Play hard to get all you want, but don’t be surprised if they let you go if you push too hard. They’ve got a lot of competition coming for them in the year to come and they need people on board who are committed to keeping Idol on top, not ones who are out for themselves.
Consider your options, hun! This is a sweet gig! Don’t blow it over $$$!
