Knicks Head Coach Says Jeremy Lin Is Staying In New York

Jeremy Lin staying with new york knicks
The New York Knicks have said they wanted Jeremy Lin to remain on the team after becoming a free agent and it sounds like they got their wish!
After matching an expensive offer from the Houston Rockets, of course.
Head coach Mike Woodson told sources on Wednesday night that he’s pretty positive the team is willing to hand over $28.8 million to keep the point guard. On top of all that money, Woodson revealed he plans on keeping the NBA sensation as a starter.
Lin suffered a knee injury back in March, but the coach isn’t too worried about that, as he explained:

├óΓé¼┼ôYou can├óΓé¼Γäót lose your starting job based on injuries. Jeremy was our starter before he got hurt. Unfortunately he went down with an injury. He├óΓé¼Γäós not going to be punished for that. He├óΓé¼Γäós got work to do this summer. But when he comes back to veterans camp, he├óΓé¼Γäóll have the first nod. He├óΓé¼Γäóll be our starter and Jason [Kidd] will back him up in terms of helping developing this young man into a great point guard.”

Linsanity may have died down toward the end of this past season, but it sounds like it could easily come back in full force next year!
