Jeremy Renner Reveals His 'Eye Did Pop Out' During Gruesome Snowplow Incident! WHAT?!

Jeremy Renner is revealing more details about his horrific snowplow incident — and you’ve got to see it to believe it!

The Hurt Locker star has been on the mend since his New Year’s Day accident in which a 14,330-lb PistenBully snowplow rolled over the top of him while he was trying to dig his nephew’s car out of the snow — and he’s not sparing any gruesome details about the condition he was left in immediately after.

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night, the 52-year-old told the late night host just how severe the freak situation was:

“Well, you have to think, it’s like a giant, metal cookie roller.”

Unfortunately, Renner was the dough in the scenario… But luck was on his side:

“It just missed every vertebrae, did not hit any organs, my brain didn’t swell, nothing like that.”

However, there was one MAJOR injury that the Hawkeye star revealed:

“My eye did pop out. That’s weird. But I got pretty lucky that none of the organs got messed up.”

OMG! His EYE popped out?? That’s certainly a mental image we won’t be able to shake anytime soon… Poor guy! He stayed strong though, downplaying the severity of his “pierced liver” saying, “It wasn’t dangerous,” and making light of his “collapsed lung,” quipping, “Yeah, that’s fine. I’ve got another one.” What a tough sumbitch!

The Avengers star went on empathize with his nephew Alex, who he famously leapt into action to save from the machine, explaining:

“Alex was there during the entire time and he had to see his Uncle Jeremy on the ground.”

He continued:

“I didn’t see any of this stuff, but the blood everywhere, the thing, and the eye, and all this stuff right — I had to consider what his perspective was, and then that kept happening with everyone’s perspectives throughout this entire ordeal.”

The father of one added:

“It’s pretty harrowing to take the time to really consider somebody else’s perspective.”

Wow. We just reported last week that Renner began preparing his “last words” to his family members as he laid in the intensive care unit, uncertain of his fate. What a ways he’s come since January. However, he did credit the injury with helping him to quit smoking and to shed 20 pounds. He remains in “a ton of pain” though.

During his highly anticipated interview with Diane Sawyer, which aired last week, the American Hustle star recalled being “awake through every moment” of the incident — but surprisingly didn’t register the pain of all his injuries:

“It felt like someone took the wind out of you. Too many things are going on in the body to feel pain. It’s everything. It’s like if your soul could have pain.”

He added of his popped out eye:

“I believe I could see my eye with my other eye.”

Ughhh, imagine that… Chills.
