1987 Jerry Sandusky Interview Raises More Eyebrows In PSU Sex Scandal

While Jerry Sandusky and his lawyer have begun their efforts to prove his innocence, a 1987 NBC interview with the alleged child molester has been released to the public and only adding to the publics nearly unanimous suspicion.
The piece is covering the work he began doing with underprivileged kids 10 years earlier through his Second Mile charity. If it didn’t raise any eyebrows then, it certainly is now.
In the interview, Jerry looks back on his work with kids fondly and shares his passion for his charity by saying things like:

“I enjoy being around children, I enjoy their enthusiasm, I just have a good time with them.”

Knowing what we know today, these words certainly have a darker subtext, but at the time the public had no reason to think otherwise. However, what he says next is completely disturbing:

“Everybody needs people to care for them. Sometimes they don’t want it. Sometimes they don’t understand what you’re trying to do, but they want to be disciplined. Kids are growing up awfully fast today.”

Can you say…CREEPY!
Meanwhile, in his most recent NBC interview with Bob Costas on Monday night, the former Penn State defensive coordinator says he is innocent of the 40 counts of child sex abuse charged against him. The only thing he is guilty of in his mind is “showering” with minors, explaining:

“I have horsed around with kids I have showered after workouts. I have hugged them and I have touched their legs without intent of sexual contact.”

Yuck! We got news for Sandusky and anyone else out there considering his defense — hugging and touching naked boys in the shower IS child sex abuse!
