Jerry Seinfeld Rakes In Over $22 Million After Auctioning Off 17 Collectible Cars!

Jerry Seinfeld
Jerry Seinfeld
just cleaned out his garage in a major way!
The Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee host sold 17 of his collectible cars over the weekend — and managed to bring in $22,244,500 in the process!
The highest seller? The 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder that went for $5,335,000!
Chump change, are we right??
The 61-year-old actor made an appearance at the auction house, which certainly helped get the crowd excited to bid.

The comedian previously said that he loved his cars but time and space are forcing him to sell:

“[T]he reason I wanted to bid these cars farewell in this way is really just to see the look of excitement on the faces of the next owners who I know will be out of their minds with joy that they are going to get to experience them.”

Fair enough.
What other hot rods found new homes?
The list includes: a 1959 Porsche 718 RSK, which sold for $2,860,000; a 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC RSR, $2,310,000; a 1990 Porsche 962C, $1,650,000; a 1958 Porsche 356 A 1500 GS/GT Carrera Speedster, $1,540,000; a 1994 Porsche 964 Turbo 3.6 S Flachbau, $1,017,500; a 1998 Porsche 993 3.8 Cup RSR, $935,000; and a 1963 Porsche 356 B 2000 GS/GT Carrera 2 Coupe, which went for $825,000.
Not to mention the 1960 VW Beetle that went for $121,000.
There was one car leftover, though: a non-drivable Carrera GT concept car. Apparently it’s only one of two in the whole world — but it didn’t make the minimum of $1,500,000.
Worth a shot!
Sounds like a pretty successful weekend to us!
