DAYUM!! Those mommy-shaming Internet trolls are FAST.
Jersey Shore‘s Deena Cortese recently welcomed her precious baby boy to the world a few days ago, but is already catching heat from critics online.

The reality TV starlet faced some backlash after sharing this set of photos (below), showing her family of three seemingly very excited to leave the hospital and take their already stylish little “meatball” home:
Swipe through to the the third photo, showing little CJ Buckner snuggly strapped into his onesie and carseat for the journey home. Adorable, right?!
The big issue here is that the newborn’s onesie appears more like a fluffy jacket, which experts warn against. They say a jacket like this one is a real safety hazard, creating too much space between the child and the car seat’s protective harness while in the car.
Late last year, an expose on winter car seat safety highlighted by TODAY offered an in-depth look at a mistake many parents commonly make. Dr. Benjamin Hoffman, a medical director at children’s hospital in Portland, Oregon previously told the publication:
“Anything between the child and the straps is compressible; it’s like having space, which creates more risk that the child could thrust forward into the straps in the event of a crash.”
Okay, so maybe the Internet’s concerns are valid here. But let’s not forget that Deena is a new momma, and maybe she wasn’t aware? Although from her caption, it appears that the hospital approved of CJ’s outfit regardless.
The comments section of the MTV star’s post was blown up with plenty of negative comments, like one that read:
“The harness is too loose, look around his legs!! It’s clearly loose as f**k.”
But many users and supporting mommas alike came to Deena’s defense, saying:
“People will always have negative comments just about anything. Don’t let these fools upset you. You’re amazing and you learn as you go. God bless your bundle of joy.”
“Honestly people give the girl a break! There is nothing wrong with what he is wearing! Why not try and be positive instead of negative! We have enough negatively in the world!”
“You people commenting ARE NOT THERE. You are not strapping him in, you’re not putting him in the car – you have no right to make comments to a brand new mom who is scared s**tless and all you’re doing is freaking her out more.”
Sigh, you really can’t please everyone.
