We just LOVED when Jessica Simpson accidentally revealed to Jimmy Kimmel she was having a boy!

But according to a source close to the Simpsons (Ned Flanders, maybe?), that wasn’t a case of “pregnancy brain”- it was a PR stunt! The source says:
“Jessica├óΓé¼Γäós ├óΓé¼╦£slip-up├óΓé¼Γäó was a rehearsed line, something she waited to do until the time was right for her.
She knew that she would be taping interviews to promote Fashion Star, so the timing couldn’t be more perfect.
It was the perfect excuse to bide her time, drum up as much speculation as possible, before revealing she was having a boy right before the second season premieres.”
REALLY?! If it was pre-planned, why didn’t she just accidentally say “he” or “him”? The wiener line seems pretty elaborate.
Hmm, don’t get to say that every day! The source says:
“She thought up a few ideas with Eric and they felt the wiener gag would seem the most harmless and less obvious, so she went with that.”
Hmm. We’re not sure we buy that. Jess has made some pretty adorably silly statements in the past. It’s kind of what she’s known for!
We wonder if someone at the Simpson camp (Krusty the Clown?) isn’t just trying to save face after such a big slip-up!
