Ruh-roh!
Jessica Simpson and her father Joe Simpson are being sued by a man named Jeffrey Bowler for allegedly reneging on a promised finder’s fee if Bowler helped them find a buyer for Jessica’s lucrative fashion business!

And yet, it seems the supposed deal was made about a decade ago over the phone with Joe Simpson, and never actually written down in a contract or anything!
Bowler now claims that Jessica sold her majority stake in The Jessica Simpson Collection in April 2015 for $120 million after he set her up with an interested buyer, and that she owes him 10% or $12 million.
Reps for the businesswoman insist that Jessica “has never met Mr. Bowler nor has she ever had any dealings with him whatsoever.”
Somebody has some explaining to do!
Though it would be difficult for Bowler to provide proof of the arrangement if it was done over the phone ten years ago.
Get everything in writing, people!
Joe even says in a countersuit that while he was working with Bowler, the deal “died on the vine” and never came to fruition, especially because they working only working to license her makeup line at the time.
We hope the truth comes out!
