Jillian Michaels loves her kids. But even someone as tough and fit as the Biggest Loser trainer is finding parenting to be super hard!
So tough that she needs to talk herself into it! She says:
“Every day I tell myself how blessed I am. I have a great life. I can├óΓé¼Γäót bitch about it, because this is what I wanted. I just thought I├óΓé¼Γäód be able to manage it better.”
So what’s giving her problems? Only everything! She says:
“I get up at 7 a.m.├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥after being up all night with the baby├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥and run around trying to get both kids diaper-changed, dressed and fed.
Finally I’ll shower, and before I know it, I’ve got 50 e-mails to answer, and I need to leave for work.
At the end of the day, I come home, and I├óΓé¼Γäóm like, OK, let me bathe you, change you, feed you, read you books, put you to bed├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥wait, how am I supposed to do all this? Son of a bitch, this is hard!”
With so much to do, Jillian is finding she’s losing her patience! Especially with Lu‘s new independent streak. She says:
“She wants to do everything herself, but it means you have to sit there for 20 minutes while she tries to put on a shirt. It kills me because I├óΓé¼Γäóve got to go to work.
Heidi gets mad at me: ‘How else is she going to learn how to put on her shirt?’ or ‘Don├óΓé¼Γäót rush her├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥you├óΓé¼Γäóre rushing her!’
Ugh, it makes me crazy, so I├óΓé¼Γäóll just sit on the floor of the closet checking e-mails while Lu tries to figure out how to put on her shirt. It├óΓé¼Γäós brutal, but I├óΓé¼Γäóm really trying. I guarantee it├óΓé¼Γäós going to be their number one issue in therapy.”
Therapy? You’re being too hard on yourself, gurl! Don’t forget, every parent goes through this! If any of us were actually perfect, that would probably screw up our kids even more!
Hey, if anyone has the upper body strength to hang in there, it’s Jillian!
