More details surrounding Jim Carrey and his late ex-girlfriend Cathriona White‘s relationship have emerged amid the ongoing wrongful death lawsuit filed by Cat’s “husband” Mark Burton.
To catch you up, Burton and Carrey have been going back and forth after Burton claimed the actor allegedly gave White fatal prescription pills, and numerous STDs, which led to her suicide last year. The 54-year-old’s legal team has maintained The Mask star’s innocence by claiming the whole thing is a “desperate, bogus claim made by the ├óΓé¼╦£husband’ of a sham marriage.”
Now, intimate photos of Carrey and the Ireland native on Valentine’s Day back in 2013 have surfaced — which support speculation that White and Burton only married so Cat could stay stateside.
The shots obtained by TMZ show the comedian and the 30-year-old surrounded by rose petals as they kiss and enjoy a romantic dinner.
The important thing to note here is that Burton and White were married just a month before (on January 15, according the the marriage certificate)… which disproves Burton’s claim that he suffered a “loss of companionship” when the beauty died from an overdose of Ambien, Propranolol, and Percocet.

Carrey’s attorney Martin Singer argues this evidence proves the “green card marriage” between Burton and White was a total sham, and that Burton is just looking to get a paycheck.
In fact, the celeb’s legal reps and witnesses claim Cat asked five other men, including the Dumb & Dumber star, to help her avoid deportation before Burton agreed to the plan despite living in a different state.
And if you didn’t think that was enough proof, in a “secretly recorded” conversation with a pal obtained by RadarOnline, Cat admits her marriage was fake.
In the alleged video, the outlet reports Cat can be heard saying of Burton:
“He’s like my friend for years. He said, ├óΓé¼╦£I’m sick of you being in this situation’ [without immigration eligibility] so I’m going to help you.’ We were in Vegas and we went and got married. Then he dropped me at the bus station.”
Oof.
So while that piece of the dialogue may help Jim’s case, the rest of the conversation may hurt him as it alludes to the actor’s drug use and depressed behavior.
Cat reportedly can be heard discussing Carrey’s use of “sugar” which led to him having “meltdowns:”
“He roller-coasters a lot … over Christmas I guess sugar f*cked him up. It really f*cks with him, makes him really depressed. Then he started smoking pot, and then he kept eating more sugar, and then he was just like having these breakdowns, like meltdowns.”
Adding:
“It’s like 50 shades of grey, 50 f*cking million shades of Jim and I’m 50 f*cking million shades of f*cked up because of it!”
Wow.
If these recordings are in fact legit… we can’t imagine how this will play out in court.
