We think Jimmy Fallon looks pretty good behind his new desk, and viewers seem to agree as well, for the most part!
Jimmy had 11.31 million viewers tuning in last night during his inaugural episode, which was over 2 million more watching than there were during Conan O’Brien‘s premiere back in 2009. However, the two had the same rating of 3.8 in the 18-48 demographic.
Although he appears to have topped Conan, the viewership WAS less than the 14.6 million who watched The Tonight Show to say goodbye to Jay Leno. Well, at least say goodbye for a second time!
Overall, it was a pretty robust opening for Jimmy, and we’re excited to see how he does in direct competition with David Letterman!
