Over the weekend, Senator Mitch McConnell shared a rare update on his health after he landed in the hospital in June due to a fall. While he said he was briefly unconscious after the accident, he stressed there were no major health concerns. Trying to calm the worried public amid rumors about his health status, he shared a photo sitting in the hospital with his wife, Elaine Chao. He wore a button down shirt and smiled for the camera while holding what appeared to be the Sunday edition of the Washington Post sports section — a subtle way to attempt to prove the pic wasn’t AI.

Kimmel wasted no time cracking jokes. He took to Instagram with an edited version of the same phone — the only difference is that he put his face over Mitch’s! He teased:
