Ahh!! Our heads are swelling with SO much J.K. Rowling information, explosion is imminent!!
During her current promotional tour for Casual Vacancy, her new, non-Harry Potter book for adults, J.K. Rowling revealed she is not completely finished with her Harry Potter world, and is considering making a whole new series of books featuring new magical/muggle characters!!
The masterful author divulged:
“Where Harry├óΓé¼Γäós story is concerned, I├óΓé¼Γäóm done. I don├óΓé¼Γäót want to go mechanically back into that world and pick up a load of odds and ends and glue them together and say, ‘Here we go, we can sell this,’ it would make a mockery of what those books were to me.
But … if I did have a great idea for something else, I probably would do it. I am very averse to the prequel-sequel idea. A sidestep could maybe … well, we├óΓé¼Γäóll see.”
EEEEE!! And we’ve blissfully combusted!
But HP is not all the iconic writer discussed!
Obviously, J.K. is readying for the release of Casual Vacancy, and during an interview on GMA, Mz. Rowling revealed how Rihanna’s smash song Umbrella is prominently featured in the book, and how the tune inspired one of her main characters!
Ch-ch-check out the intimate interview (above)!!
J.K. ALSO dishes on her influences for the book’s darker, real-world themes, such as OCD, self mutilation, and drug addiction.
We cannot WAIT to get our mitts on Casual Vacancy, which slams into digital and physical bookshelves September 27th (TOMORROW)!!!
