J.K. Rowling's Numbers Are In -- How Did The Casual Vacancy Do??

The numbers are in!
How do U think J.K. Rowling‘s newest book, The Casual Vacancy: A Story That Is Not Harry Potter, did after just being released this past Thursday??
If your answer is “worse than expected” we’re no longer on speaking terms! Plus you’re wrong!
The Causal Vacancy EXCEEDED expectations!!
In the United States the book sold 375,000 copies, and in the United Kingdom, 124,000 were sold. If lukewarm reviews can be ignored and the excitement can hold (and if it doesn’t get banned in India), the publisher even thinks it’ll be the bestselling hardback this year!
The fact that it had about a million pre-orders and extremely high expectations definitely helped, but it still couldn’t top Dan Brown‘s The Lost Symbol, which landed 550,000 copies in one week.
Also, it topped USA Today’s best-seller list, kicking E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey right in the bondage ass! Ha!
Do U think it can hold this reign??
