Joan Rivers has always been one to dish it out, but can she take it?
A bitter ex-manager is suing Joan, claiming he was never paid for resurrecting her career. The guy, Billy Sammeth, says he was stiffed out of $179k even though he gave life to her “dormant career” by helping her get on Celebrity Apprentice and starring in her documentary, Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work.
And here is where the bitterness comes in. Billy also claims in his lawsuit that the documentary about Joan’s life defamed him by making him appear to be a “disappeared” manager, whatever that means. Billy says he was humiliated and clearly, only money will ease the pain. So, he is suing both Joan and the production company for at least $2.2 million.
Good luck with that, buddy! A rep for Joan has already come forward on behalf of his client to say Joan is”confident that the judicial system will dispose of Mr. Sammeth’s lawsuit in the appropriate manner.”
We bet that was translated out of a slew of profanities and middle fingers on Joan’s part!
