Oh, gurl! Did you nod off during the interview and forget that we live in 2010??
Joan Rivers recently decided that it’s stoopid for male celebrities to come out of the closet, and proved just how old and out of touch she is by arguing her case!
She claims:
“If you├óΓé¼Γäóre going to be a romantic idol and try to get every teenage girl to love you, then you├óΓé¼Γäód be an ass to come out and say you├óΓé¼Γäóre gay. That├óΓé¼Γäós why Ricky Martin was so smart ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ he did what he did, he made his millions, and then he said, ├óΓé¼┼ôGuess what, everybody? I├óΓé¼Γäóm gay, I├óΓé¼Γäóm having this life, and here are my children.├óΓé¼┬¥ It didn├óΓé¼Γäót matter anymore because he didn├óΓé¼Γäót have to bring in 16-year-old girls.
If you’re looking at someone who’s your idol, thinking that maybe one day they’ll come ring your doorbell, you don’t want to hear, “There’s no chance in hell, honey, but still buy a ticket to the movie.”
We suppose a fanbase of young gay men looking for a role model just isn’t needed by these celebrity idols!
Luckily, Joan is so old at this point that she can just write off everything she says as “Back in my day…” rambles! Let’s just hope she sticks to topics she actually knows about next time!
What do U think?? Are Joan’s comments out of line??
