Though we’re sad to do it, we can now confirm that Joan Rivers is still on life support.
Her daughter, Melissa Rivers, made the news official in a statement on Tuesday, which read:
“On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we’ve received. At this time she does remain on life support. I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers.”
As we’ve previously discussed, the 81-year-old’s health crisis began on August 28th, when she quit breathing during throat surgery.
In light of the situation, this week’s scheduled taping of Fashion Police has been cancelled.
All of our thoughts and prayers are being sent to Joan and her family at this time.
