Yikes!
Jodie Foster‘s 89-year-old dad, Lucius Foster is facing up to 20 years in prison for allegedly scamming over two dozen investors.
He apparently took in more than $130,000 and has been charged with 25 counts of grand theft and 10 counts of contracting without a license. AND, he’s representing himself in court.
The Deputy City Attorney laid it all out on the table, saying:
“Mr. Foster is a liar and a cheat. He has had a scam going for years to steal money from people. A lot of people fell for it. He sounded so convincing.”
Foster, a building contractor, found clients on Craigslist and scammed them out of a $5,000 down payment after he claimed he would build them a low-cost modular home for $85,000.
WTF?! Doesn’t Jodie help out poor ol’ dad? Does he have to resort to ripping people off with some bogus investment scam?
So sad.
