Jodie Sweetin must feel like she dodged a huge bullet.
On Monday, it was revealed that the Fuller House star’s ex-fianc├â┬⌐ Justin Hodak was sentenced to more than six years in prison. Whoa.

According to Entertainment Tonight, on Friday Mr. Hodak pled “no contest” to the possession of a deadly weapon charge, as well as, the falsifying evidence by threatening a witness with force (or implied force) charge. Justin was found guilty for both felony charges, which explains why he was sentenced to serve six years and eight months in a state prison.
The Full House alum’s ex will also be on probation for five years after he completes his stint in jail. The terms of Justin’s probation also include a mandatory 52-week domestic violence treatment program. Oh, and Miz Sweetin’s former flame is required to obey the protective order out against him and his ordered to not release any images or video of the industry vet. Talk about an ex from hell, right??
While it may seem like Justin had the book thrown at him, all of this was arranged thanks to a plea deal. Specifically, prosecutors for the case threw out the stalking charge along with other counts against Justin.

Still, the 35-year-old should feel safer as her ex is NOT allowed to possess any firearms or other deadly weapons. In fact, Hodak must prove he handed over his 9mm semiautomatic gun to the Los Angeles Police Department during his May 12 court hearing.
We can’t say we’re particularly shocked by this legal update as, back in March, Jodie’s ex-fianc├â┬⌐ was arrested three times within a nine-day period. He was first arrested when the former child star called the cops and claimed Justin had threatened to commit suicide. After the police arrived, officials discovered that Hodak was in possession of a firearm — which he wasn’t allowed to have due to a prior felony. Justin was then arrested again a handful of days later after he violated an emergency protective order. Three days later, Hodak was booked for violating the restraining order Sweetin had taken out against him. Oof.
We bet Jodie can finally sleep soundly at night now that her ex is heading to the big house…
