How rude!
Jodie Sweetin, who played everyone’s favorite little troublemaker Stephanie Tanner on Full House, says she’s still getting residual checks three decades after the show ended! But how much could those checks possibly be for? Well, she’s got some very shocking answers!
While on the McBride Rewind podcast late last month, the 44-year-old revealed she got an almost insulting amount of money in her last check:
“I got a one-cent check the other day.”
Whoa! At that point, why even send a check?!

Why was it so low, though? Streaming. The actress said because the show is now on HBO Max, “nobody” gets their worth anymore:
“There’s no syndication anymore because it’s all in streaming. Who gets paid for that? Nobody gets paid for that.”
She said in her twenties the checks used to at least pay for a “dinner out”:
“Sure, in my 20s, there would be money, but not reliable. You don’t know how much it’s going to be or how often they’re going to run the show. So, sometimes you’re like, ‘Oh, cool. That was nice.’ And then sometimes you’re like, ‘All right, well, there’s a nice dinner out’.”
The star said there’s no way her residuals would ever be reliable, so despite her fame and iconic role, she doesn’t “live some extravagant life”:
“I drive my 2023 used Hyundai Sonata that I love. I rent my house. I have credit cards that are maxed out. I live a normal life. And yeah, there are moments when you’re like, ‘This is going well.’ And there are times when you’re like, ‘I need a day job’.”
She’s so real and relatable! Watch for yourself around the 46:29 timestamp (below):
